Various forms of visual art are first introduced in the elementary grades as activities related to classroom lessons and school-wide projects. At the secondary level from 7th to 12th grade, visual arts are offered as electives ranging through art, ceramics, digital arts and media arts.
Students learn specific techniques related to perspective and the use of shadow and light to bring their creations to life.
Student work is exhibited at school level art shows and District-wide showings in cooperation with the Richmond Art Center among others.
Our instructors are dedicated professionals who take great pride in producing high performing student artists!
