FOR EDITORS#EditorTip: Remember the 3-scroll rule. If a user scrolls down the homepage more than three times, their attention decreases. Summerize the text and add a "READ MORE" link to direct users to a NEW page with more information. Keep homepage higlights to two - three paragraphs.Website Conversion Timeline

Prepare for New School Websites: Deadline Extended
The website redesign project is underway and the content curation deadline has been extended for those who were unable to review their sites in March. To make the transition process as easy as possible, we are asking all web editors to audit their pages, documents, photos, and links on your school site. The deadline to complete the website clean-up phase is May 23.
Principals, please complete the Website Redesign Form to update your editor contact information, school logo and school colors. The form should take less than five minutes to complete. The deadline to submit the form is Wednesday, May 15, 2019.
Prepare for New District/School Websites: Content Curation
The District will launch new websites in the coming months. Many pages and documents have been added to our websites dating back to 2003. It is the responsibility of the Principal and Department editor to ensure that old files and pages are removed from the website and/or updated. Please take some time to go through the webpages in site manager and remove any documents that are no longer useful for your website. Please complete Phase 1 before April 30, 2019.
How to delete a page in site manager (Video)
How to delete content from the website using the Files & Folders tool
Each Site, Subsite, Channel, and Section Workspace has one dedicated Files & Folders area. Users with editing privileges to a workspace have access to its Files & Folders. You can access Files & Folders two different ways, on the Tools tab or by selecting Files & Folders in Common Tools.
- Log into the website and open Site Manager. Select Files & Folders to the right of your screen under common tools to open the files in a new window.
- In the Files & Folder window, click on the word Modified to sort the files from oldest - newest.
- Under Actions, select More to view the action options. Choose the last option to delete the file.
- FIND MORE FILES: There may be more documents in sub-folders. To the left of the Files & Folders screen, click the site files arrow to view more files. Repeat steps 1-3 to delete old documents.
NOTE: Current web pages may include links to the old documents. Once the documents are removed from the files and folders section, the link will break. Remember to go through your web pages and remove any broken links.
