Richmond Police, Kennedy Community Need Assistance Locating Missing Student Antoine Whittley
Kennedy Junior Antoine Whittley was last seen Wednesday, February 10 at approximately 8:30 p.m. exiting a rideshare vehicle on the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge. Richmond police have offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the safe return of Antoine. Contact Detective K. Palma at 510-621-1276 with any information.

Clarifying Friday's Community Message
I want to clarify that the school district hopes and expects to return to in-person instruction no later than this fall. There are many requirements that have to be met for every kid to return to school every day. Also, the experience will look different from traditional school.

WCCUSD Hosts Harvard Experts, Present Facilities Review and Discuss Community Survey at Second Study Session
The West Contra Costa Unified School District hosted its second Board Study Session on COVID-19 and School on Wednesday, Feb. 3 via Zoom and Facebook. Experts from Harvard presented about COVID-19 and schools and WCCUSD facilities were reviewed and the December Community Return to School Survey was discussed.

Education leaders from Contra Costa County school districts, including West Contra Costa Unified School District, sent a joint letter to top county officials on Monday urging them to prioritize school district education workers for the COVID-19 vaccine.
