Announcements

  • Wilson will be at the 42nd Street campus in 2017-2018. The school will not relocate to the Portola Temporary Campus until June 2018, and is expected to be at that location for two academic years.

What this means for you: If you want your child to attend Wilson but have been concerned about relocation and transport, this won't be a concern for Fall 2017.

With the additional time, Wilson and the District will be able to flesh out the details of transportation and share this information with parents well in advance of the actual relocation. This will include determining the number of busses, what grades will be transported together, staff/volunteer monitoring of the 42nd Street site and busses, and how bell schedules will work. Wilson is also planning to host an Open House at the Portola Temporary Campus in May (date/time to be determined).

    • If you still need to register your child to attend Wilson, the school office will reopen for in-person registration August 7.

The delay in moving is due to Division of the State Architect requests for additional information and fitting the Portola Temporary Campus with fire sprinklers. But, for those in the neighborhood awaiting a new Wilson, this does not affect the overall timeline for demolition and rebuilding of the 42nd Street site.
