After School Application Process
Parents who are interested in having their child participate in the after school program at their home school must complete the After School Application on the Parent Portal of your child’s Powerschool account. If you are enrolling siblings into the program you will need to complete separate applications through the Parent Portal of each child’s Powerschool Account. If you need support with completing the online application please work with the School Community Outreach Worker (SCOW) at your site or reach out to the Expanded Learning Office @ 510-307-4652.
A completed application on Powerschool does not guarantee that your child has been accepted into the program. Once you complete your application your child will be Waitlisted. Program acceptance is contingent upon the availability of slots for your child’s grade level. You will be notified once your child has been accepted into the program.
If your child qualifies as “unduplicated” and attends one of the following schools: Collins, Ellerhorst, Hanna Ranch, Kensington, Lupine Hills, Madera, Ohlone, or Olinda, they are eligible to attend after school program, pending availability of slots, at one of the District’s three after school program hubs: Harding Elementary, Stewart, and Valley View. Unduplicated TK-6th grade students who participate in after school programs at one of these hub schools will be transported by the District to the program. Families/Caregivers are eligible for mileage reimbursement from the hub site to their child’s home school for the days their child attends the program. If you want more information please reach out to the Expanded Learning Office @ 510-307-4652.
