Good evening WCCUSD community,

I am honored to introduce myself to you and this community. My name is Dr. Kenneth Chris Hurst and I am ready to get to work and to get to know this community as your next Superintendent. I am excited to help lead WCCUSD through its next education chapter.

Today, I shared my entry plan that outlines my vision, core values, and goals over the next 6 months. Please take a moment to read and review the short 8-page document or view this screencast about the plan here.

If you have questions, please send them to communications@wccusd.net. I am working with my new team to host a Facebook Live session about the Entry Plan at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 27.

Over the next month and a half, I will be meeting with students, staff, families, and community partners through a variety of platforms and forums with the sole purpose to listen and learn as much as possible about my new family.

I look forward to this opportunity to listen, learn, serve, and partner with you. Together, we can increase educational opportunities, learning, and academic achievement for all WCCUSD students in our quest to ensure every student is prepared to participate and compete in our global society.
