Dear WCCUSD Community,

This Wednesday, October 13, 2021, the WCCUSD School Board Trustees will gather for a study session around Public Safety and School Climate. The meeting will focus on goals for the 2021-2022 school year, review behavioral trends and data, and discuss needed support. 

Safety of our students, staff, educators and families is our top priority and we will be presenting our strategy for reducing the number of physical altercations and number of incidents involving possession of a dangerous item at school sites, while also ensuring that more students in all grades feel safe at school.

We believe that we can build a positive, relationship-based culture where all members of the WCCUSD community are supported. We will get there by using data to drive our decisions, and by creating a framework of multiple supports grounded in restorative and trauma-informed practices.
