Contractor prequalification is a requirement for contractors intending to bid West Contra Costa Unified School District construction projects of $1 million or more.
Prequalification questionnaires must be submitted 10 days prior to a project’s bid due date or they cannot be processed for that project. WCCUSD will issue qualification/disqualification notices 5 days prior to the bid due date. Please keep in mind that several applications are in process at any given time and an early/timely submittal is appreciated.
The California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act is under the umbrella of the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Commission (CUPCCAC) and provides for alternative bidding procedures when an agency performs public project work by contract.
The West Contra Costa Unified School District is accepting applications to be included in the List of Qualified Contractors to be notified of public projects advertised under the informal bidding rules (PCC §22032 aka CUPCCAA (California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act)).
