ESS - Paycheck Simulator

    The Paycheck Simulator allows you to see the impact of changes to your gross and net pay. The values in hours, tax rates and deductions are the values listed for you in MUNIS. You can click the Calculate button to determine the base wages based upon the default values.

    You will see an estimation of your check based upon the values in the previous screen. You can print the estimate to compare to changes you make. To recalculate based on new values, click the Return button at the bottom of the list.

    In this example, Federal Exemptions have been changed to two. Click the Calculate button to determine the new deduction amount and net wages.

    NOTE: The changes entered in the Simulator are for comparison purposes only. They will not update your pay information. Changes to W-4 information must go throught the W-4 editor. All other changes must be sent to the Payroll Office.

    The federal tax has changed from $202.14 to $167.20 and net pay has changed from $185.58 to $220.52. Based upon this information, the deduction information can be changed in the W-4 edit screen once available.
