WHAT CAN YOU MAKE AT THE FAB LAB?
A Fab Lab (Fabrication Laboratory) is a workshop equipped with computer-controlled machines for “rapid prototyping,” open to students, teachers, staff, and the community. Training is available for the machines and respective design software, and collaboration is available to align with instruction.
Due to the recent surge in Covid-19 cases along with Delta and other variants increasing, the reopening of Community Open Hours at the Fab Lab will be postponed until further notice.
Please continue to check the website for any updates, and we hope to resume normal Community Hours in the near future. Thank you for your patience and support during these times. We hope to see you soon!
If you are a WCCUSD Teacher, you may still send files to the Fab Lab to be fabricated upon approval from the Lab Manager. If you would like to explore options for what projects can be made and sent remotely, please use the contact info below.
Virtual Community Classes will be starting in September, we will be holding a series of classes involving the 3D Design program TinkerCAD. Whether you are advanced, have some experience or have no experience at all 3D designing, there will be offerings to suit any skill level, as well as individual project classes.
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
