Welcome to the Health Center
The De Anza health center is a safe place for students to receive free and confidential health services, information, and programming. Our services include: Health Education, Mental Health, Violence and Drug Prevention, Youth Development, Medical, and Sexual Health Services. Our goal is to foster student wellness and academic achievement.

Our Mission
Our Mission is to develop a coordinated system of support services for all students in order to foster well being and academic achievement.

Services
Mental Health Services include one-on-one and group counseling around issues of anger management, grief/loss, LGBTQ support, self-esteem, depression, substance use/abuse and crisis intervention.
Medical Services include physicals and sport exams, immunizations, first aid, reproductive health services including screening and treatment of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), pregnancy testing, and contraceptives.
Health Education Services include comprehensive sex education, pregnancy and HIV/STI prevention, and peer tobacco education. Additionally, health educators are on site 3 days a week.
Youth Development Programs are designed to give students the tools necessary to make changes in their communities. Our peer education and leadership development programs train students in public speaking, presentation skills, classroom managment, and planning/organization.
Violence Prevention Programs provide peer-led classroom workshops on LGBTQ awareness and the harmful effects of homophobia in schools. We also offer a young men’s group focused on violence prevention, conduct conflict mediation services and support groups for students who have been victims of or have witnessed
