- SBAC Testing: 11th Grade, April 26th - 29th
-
The Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) will be given to all 11th grade students in both English Language Arts and Math. As you may remember, this assessment replaces the CST’s and STAR exams that were given in previous years. Smarter Balanced has developed next-generation assessments to accurately measure student progress toward college and career readiness in English language arts/literacy (ELA) and mathematics. SBAC measure student’s proficiency in meeting the high school standards from 9th through 11th grade. SBAC scores may range from “standard not met”, “standard nearly met”, “standard met”, and “standard exceeded”. Early Assessment Program testing will be a part of the SBAC.
In moving forward, all 11th grade students will take the smarter balanced tests from April 26th -29th, 2016.
To learn about the types of questions on the computer-based test, you and your child can view the practice test online at the California Department of Education (CDE) Smarter Balanced Practice Test Web page: http://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/tg/sa/practicetest.asp.
