What’s good, Olinda families! January 4 - 8 2021
What’s good, Olinda Families? Here are your updates for January 4th through the 8th, 2021.
First- Welcome back! We made it! Goodbye 2020- hello 2021 we’re ready.
Take this time to get ready for school to start at ten am monday morning by doing a check on your chromebook right now! Power it down fully, let it rest a few minutes, and then turn it back on. Fully powering down your chromebook let’s it grab updates as it does a full start up rather than just putting it in sleep mode.
This week Materials Pick up times will be as follows: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 am to 10 am in the MPR, and we ask that you please:
- Enter through the parking lot
- Wear a mask at all times when on the school site
- Refrain from going to any other locations on the site
- Enter the MPR by observing the signs laid out marking entrance and exit spots
- Wait at the door for your turn to enter
- Tell us your student’s full name, grade, and teacher
- Exit to the rear of the building and through the parking lot
If you have a problem with your chromebook- contact Lee at rlee.gorton@wccusd.net or reply to this email so that we can attempt to troubleshoot the chromebook first. You can also look on the Digital Backpack on the school website for tips and tricks, as well as information on Hotspots.
Check with your student’s teachers! Some teachers have items and some do not. Your teacher will let you know what items will be needed and when they are there for you to pick up.
Coming up in January we have AAPAC, SSC, PTA and School Board Meetings! Please attend these meetings if you can, say hello and get involved - all are welcome and important information about our school will be discussed. We need your input! Check the school website, the district website, the PTA site, the facebook groups, twitter, the wccusd app for iphone and android, or wherever you prefer to go to get your updates. Class Dojo and Remind apps are also excellent ways to get your news and communications from our principal and teachers.
Be good, and be good at it.
