    SITE VISITS

Students from MCHS visit WCCUSD middle schools in January to talk with 8th grade students about Middle College and answer questions about our program.

If you are considering applying, please speak to your child's middle school counselor to let them know you are interested in Middle College for your student. They will be able to answer questions and assist you with the application process.
  • Middle College at Contra Costa College is a highly rigorous academic program structured to provide successful, challenging, and meaningful experiences for students who need a more challenging curriculum and are at risk of not meeting their full academic potential in a traditional high school setting. MCHS is an Early College High School, which combines high school and the first two years of community college into an articulated educational sequence, which enables students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma, and complete two years of rigorous college education. Students have the unique opportunity of earning credits towards completion of an Associates Degree or transferable credits in four to five years. MCHS has been on the campus of Contra Costa College since 1989 and is a collaboration between the West Contra Costa Unified School District and Contra Costa College.
