LAKE'S VISION STATEMENT
At Lake, we inspire today's leaders while fostering a lifelong love of learning with high academic and social expectations for ourselves and our communities
LAKE'S MISSION STATEMENT
Our primary goal is to develop life long learners that are committed to lives characterized by love, integrity, respect, self-discipline, and hope in pursuit of justice and equity for all.
We believe it takes an entire community to develop a well-nurtured child. Educators, parents, students, and community partners work collectively every day to provide hands-on, exciting inquiry-based learning and social-emotional support opportunities to inspire young minds to reach new heights. We hold high expectations not only for ourselves and our students but all who touch the lives of our community.

We need your help. Please complete the Multipurpose Family Income Form, regardless of income. It is a key piece to the budget and supports services that directly benefit students. Every family should complete the form. For families that don't qualify, you enter your name, check one box and that is it. Qualifying families it's just a few more steps.
We have a number of ways for the community, families, parents and students to get involved with the Facilities Master Plan's Prioritization Committee and Community Survey and Redistricting Commission.
Meal distribution is from 8 am to 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Due to the unhealthy air quality, we have changed the pick up process. We are now asking that the adult picking up the meal please follow the new signs at the location and to honk their horn when they reach the designated pick up spot and a member from the Nutrition Services team will come out and distribute the meals.
The social emotional support for students, families and staff is of heightened importance in this distance learning environment and I want the community to know that resources and support are available through school health centers, school counselors, teachers, principals, school support staff and the District’s team led by Jodi Couick and new Special Education Director Kristen Hardy.
We have concluded Week 3 of Distance Learning and we want to hear how we are doing. Please share your feedback through ThoughtExchange. We also began important work to address race and equity in the District and its impact on African American students, families and staff.
