Library Services include:
Library Services Office
- Library Media Specialists provide weekly library services at
each elementary school. These classified employees teach children library
skills and recommend literature, in addition to running the library and
Schools - Full time, credentialed Teacher Librarians work at
each of our traditional secondary schools. They are trained to teach research
skills as well as collaborate with teachers to deliver standards-based lessons.
They are supported by Information & Literacy Assistants who maintain
textbooks inventories, in addition to providing library services.
Library Office - The district staff supports site-based
personnel and maintains the Destiny database, which is used for circulation and
inventory of all WCCUSD textbook and library assets.

WCCUSD Library staffing is funded
until June 2027 by the generosity of local voters through a parcel tax. Parcel
tax budgets are reviewed annually by the Citizens Oversight Committee for Parcel Taxes. Collection funding is included in Goal One of the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)
and from individual school sites.
