ParentLink Message 1.11.22

Good evening, Lincoln families. This is Mrs. Parham with a very important update about covid safety procedures at Lincoln and across the district.

Please listen carefully - this message contains 2 pieces of information.

First, an update on covid testing. Today, we were able to test 222 people at Lincoln, which is great because that number is increasing every week. Unfortunately, we did have multiple classes affected with positive covid cases today. You should note that, if your child tested positive or is considered a "close contact" of a positive person, our team would've reached out to you directly today. If you did NOT hear from us today, that means your child did NOT test positive and is NOT considered a close contact of a positive person. Please note that our hope and expectation is that every single Lincoln student and staff member get tested every single Tuesday, because this is one of the best ways to keep our community safe. If you have not yet registered your child for weekly covid testing, and you need help registering them on the app, come to Lincoln anytime Wednesday through Friday, from 9:30-3 p.m. and our front office team will help you register. Please help us reach our goal of 100% of staff and students getting tested every week.

Second, an update on masks. As of today, all district employees are required to wear N95 or KN95 masks to work every day. Also, as of NEXT Tuesday, January 18th, all students will be required to wear a surgical mask to school every day. Cloth masks will no longer be allowed. Please note that your child will receive a new surgical mask at school every week. They will get their first one by this Friday. Keep in mind there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 17th, for Martin Luther King Day.

That's all I have for now. Thank you for registering your child for weekly covid testing, and ensuring they are wearing a surgical mask to school every day. Take care.
