ParentLink Message 8.31.21
Good evening, Lincoln families. This is Mrs. Parham with an important update.
By now, you should have received a letter from your student notifying you that we have had a confirmed case of covid-19, also known as coronavirus, at Lincoln. This letter was also posted to our Class Dojo School Story page. The student who has tested positive was last at school on Friday, August 27th. Please note that you will only be notified directly if your child is in the class of the student who tested positive, and has had direct contact with that student. If you have not been notified directly, than this does not directly affect your child.
That said, please remember that if your child is experiencing any symptoms of covid, including coughing, sore throat, fever, or a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher they should stay home from school. Please do not send them to school while they have symptoms. You should have them tested for covid immediately.
Additionally, we want to remind all students and families that we are enforcing the proper wearing of masks while at school. If your child repeatedly refuses to wear their mask properly, you will be notified and your child risks being sent home. Now, more than ever, we need to stay safe.
Lastly, please have your child tested for covid every single Tuesday at Lincoln. We want as many students and staff to be tested as possible each week. Once you have completed the Test Requisition Form, your child is good to go and they will be tested using either the nasal swab or cheek swab every Tuesday.
If you have any questions about any of this, please call us at (510) 231-1404. Thank you for helping us stay safe at Lincoln. Take care.
