ParentLink Message in English (4/26/21)

Good evening Lincoln families. This is Mrs. Parham with a message on behalf of the Lincoln team.

This message contains 3 pieces of information.

First, today we started our second week of in-person learning. It has been wonderful to see many of our students safe and back with us at school! Please note that we are still accepting students to fill our hubs and intervention cohorts. If you are interested in your child joining our in-person program for the Spring, and you do not yet have a confirmed spot, please call us at Lincoln at (510) 231-1404. While we cannot guarantee that every student who wants a spot will get one, we are doing our best to meet your needs. Also, if your child is NOT coming in person, please make sure they are still logging into zoom for Homeroom every day at 10 a.m.

Second, since the weather has been chilly these last few weeks, please make sure to send your child to Lincoln with warm enough clothing. We're noticing several students have been coming to school without a coat, and they're cold. Please make sure your child comes to school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, and also on Thursdays if their teacher is offering that day, with a charged tablet, and a warm coat. That is ALL they need to bring with them.

Last, please note that 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade English Learners are continuing with ELPAC testing this week. This week, representatives from the RAP Center will be calling families to set up appointments for the one-on-one speaking test over zoom. Parents and Guardians, please expect this phone call and be prepared to set up the appointment for your child. 3rd graders are testing today and tomorrow. 4th graders are testing Wednesday and Thursdays. 5th graders are testing Friday and Monday. 6th graders are testing next Tuesday and Wednesday.

That's all I have for now. Please tell your children that we love them, we care about them, and we are so excited to be seeing our students in person and on zoom now. Take care.
