Good evening, Lincoln families. This is Mrs. Parham with a message on behalf of the Lincoln team.
This message contains 4 pieces of information.
First, last week our school board directed staff to negotiate reopening schools in the Spring. While we do not yet know what next steps will look like, I am encouraging everyone in our Lincoln community to watch this Wednesday's board meeting on zoom, beginning at 6:30pm, where they will take a vote on this important decision.
Second, please note that we are currently working on a plan for in-person summer school at Lincoln this summer. Summer school will be held from June 14-July 16, Monday-Thursday, from 9am-12pm. As a next step, we are hoping all of our parents/guardians will complete the interest survey posted on our Class Dojo School Story so we can gauge how interested each of our families are in sending their children to Lincoln for summer school.
Third, please note that attendance and engagement count! We hope and expect to see all students in Homeroom every single day at 10am. This includes Fridays! Though Fridays are primarily for independent work, it's important that every student attends their Homeroom every single day, including Friday, from 10-10:25am.
Fourth, enrollment is now open for kindergarteners for next school year. Click on the link on our Class Dojo School Story page to enroll your kindergarten student at Lincoln for next year. If you have any questions about this, give us a call at Lincoln at (510) 231-1404.
That's all I have for now. Please tell your children that we love them, we care about them, we miss them, and we look forward to the day when we can all be together again soon. Take care.
