ParentLink Message in English (1/18/21)

Good evening, Lincoln families. This is Mrs. Parham with a message on behalf of the Lincoln team.

This message contains two pieces of information.

First, we hope that all of our Lincoln students and families had a restful holiday weekend and were able to reflect today on the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Tomorrow, school will resume, and we will expect to see all students in their Homeroom class as usual at 10:00 a.m. sharp. We are excited for a short, but productive, week of learning with our students.

Second, please note that this Wednesday, January 20th, will be the inauguration of the new president, Joe Biden, and Vice President, Kamala Harris. Because of the historic nature of this day, some teachers may be showing the inauguration events to their classes, and some teachers may have a special schedule on this day to allow for their students to watch the festivities. Please be prepared for this. And, if you do NOT want your child to participate in live instruction on this day so that they may watch the inauguration, please notify your classroom teacher so that an alternative method of connecting to the learning plans can be determined. Lastly, please note that given the recent events at our nation’s Capitol, teachers electing to watch the inauguration plans live have been directed to immediately stop the classroom viewing if at any point it takes an unexpected turn.

That's all I have for now. Please tell your children that we love them, we care about them, we miss them, and we look forward to the day when we can all be together again soon. Take care.
