ParentLink Message (12/7) in English

Good evening, Lincoln families. This is Mrs. Parham with a message on behalf of the Lincoln team.

This message contains 5 pieces of information.

First, the governor of California has issued new stay-at-home orders that affect us in schools. Please note that we are now only allowed to open schools for things that are "essential." Unfortunately, that means that upcoming events we had planned, like distributing school store items to students, are NOT essential. Please note that from now until January 4th, Lincoln will not be open to the public. If you have any questions about this, please contact us.

Second, over the next two weeks, each of our grade levels will be taking one day for teacher collaboration. Your child's teacher will be reaching out to you soon to let you know which day is their grade level's collaboration day. On this day, your child will follow a "Friday schedule," meaning they will attend Homeroom and then have independent assignments for the rest of that day.

Third, we have Lincoln Spirit Week coming up the week of Dec. 14th-18th. Look out for our flier on Class Dojo for what the theme will be each day that week!

Fourth, please note that there is NO SCHOOL December 21st-January 1st for Winter Break.

Last, please note that our Superintendent, Matt Duffy, will be leaving at the end of this school year. Our district is in the process of hiring a new superintendent. Please complete the Superintendent Search survey to have your input heard.

That's all I have for now. Please tell your children we love them, we care about them, we miss them, and we look forward to the day when we can all be together again soon. Take care.
