ParentLink Message (9/28) in English
Good evening, Lincoln families! This is Mrs. Parham with a message on behalf of the Lincoln team.
This message contains 5 pieces of information, but I promise to keep it brief!
First, we are very excited that this week, we named our Lincoln Lion! With the help of your children, we decided our lion mascot will be named Simba! Look out in the coming weeks for videos from Simba--they are very excited to be named.
Second, this Wednesday, September 30th, marks the mid-trimester point. Believe it or not, we are halfway through Trimester One! Please make sure you are helping your children stay on top of their reading and math goals. The end of the trimester, on October 30th, will be here before we know it.
Third, we have a holiday coming up. Please note that Monday, October 12th, is a district holiday for Indigenous People's Day. There is no school that day.
Fourth, if you have not done so already, please download the Class Dojo app on your cell phone or device. This year, ALL teachers are using Class Dojo to communicate with their class, and we are using it as a school. It's very important that you have access to Class Dojo. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you need help downloading the app.
Last, we are having a trend schoolwide that many students are not turning their cameras on during instruction. Please note that while students are not getting "in trouble" for this, our expectation and hope is that children turn their cameras on during live instruction. If your child is consistently not doing this, your child's teacher may reach out to you with concern. We ask that you please support us with this.
That's all I have for now. Please tell your children that we love them, we care about them, we miss them and we look forward to the day when we can all be together again soon. Take Care.
