Good Evening Ford Families,
We hope that everyone had a great weekend. Here are our reminders for the week:
1. The School Site Council meets this Thursday, November 18 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

If you have not already turned in your SSC voting ballot to your teacher, you are still able to vote until Tuesday, November 16. There is a ballot box in the office near the service window. Those elected to be part of the SSC are responsible for representing all segments of the school community: teachers, support staff, parents, and students. The common goal and focus of this elected body is to support student success.
2. The English Language Advisory Committee meets on Wednesday, December 1 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Each year at every school, parents of English Learners have the opportunity to participate in an English Learner Advisory Committee or ELAC. During the school year, the ELAC has several responsibilities, including approving English learner budget items for programs and services for EL students. To form an ELAC, 5 to 10 parents must be elected by the parents of ELs at the school to meet regularly with the principal and/or other school staff to complete several tasks.
On Friday, we sent paper declarations to run forms home. If you would like to join the ELAC or have someone in mind who you think would be great, please nominate them and return the paper form back to the office by Friday, November 19th.
After the election of members, the first task will be training on ELAC responsibilities.
3. The PTA will be hosting a membership drive meet and greet in the placita on Friday. Please join us for coffee and donuts and a chance to become part of the PTA. The next PTA Meeting is on Thursday, December 2 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Si aún no ha entregado su boleta de votación del SSC a su maestro, aún puede votar hasta el martes 16 de noviembre. Hay una urna en la oficina cerca de la ventana de servicio.
