On Friday, November 21st Contra Costa College in collaboration with WCCUSD will be hosting the 6th annual African American Symposium for 9th-12th graders from 10am-2pm. The African American Symposium exposes students to models of success who look like them and come from humble beginnings. Through a series of conversations, workshops, lectures, participating students learn about the experiences of professional Bay Area African Americans whose accomplishments have taken them around the world. This year the African American Symposium will have three workshops focusing on Financial literacy, How to Start a Business, Career Panel, and a College Going Mindset.
