From the Principal's Desk: Week of April 18

Greetings Hercules High School,

We are in the final quarter for the 2020-21 school year. April 30 marks the middle of the 4th quarter, progress reports will be viewable on Powerschool.  

Honor Roll Certificates from Quarter 1 and Semester 1 are available through the main office Monday - Thursday from 9am - 11am.  Please wear your mask and keep socially distanced while picking up your honor roll certificates.

Cap and Gown distribution will be April 27th from 1pm - 3pm on the junior lot.  All seniors will need to enter the junior parking lot from the entrance closest to the  firestation.  A parent notification letter was sent out last Thursday, if you did not get your letter, you can contact the main office.  All outstanding fines will need to be settled prior to picking up your cap and gown. 

Class of 2021, your graduation date is June 3rd.  The tentative time is at 11am.  We are hoping to have an in stadium graduation, socially distanced. More plans will be shared depending on the county status during that time.  Seniors, make sure you focus on passing all of your classes this semester, your graduation status depends on it. 

We welcome those students who volunteered for In Person Support/Intervention Program on campus April 19th. Students who have registered for in person support will be allowed on campus. No other students will be allowed on campus throughout this period. 

Distance Learning continues as normal.  There will not be any disruption to your child’s schedule. Teachers will still post assignments on google classrooms, weekly agendas are sent out every Monday, teachers schedule synchronous and asynchronous lessons throughout the week. 

All students should have completed their course requests for the 21-22 school year.   Make sure that you log into your powerschool accounts and select your classes for the upcoming school year. All parents need to update your powerschool contact information prior for the 21-22 school year.

We are also planning for an in person summer school for incoming 9th grade, current 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade.  The registration process for summer school will start after we finalize all in person support sign ups. 

Athletic season # 2 starts on April 19th. Anyone interested in participating in Boys and Girls Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, along with Track, and Wrestling please contact Athletic Director Coach Grecco for more information on tryouts and the start of the seasons.


Homework Center We are offering support for 9th and 10th grade students who need additional support in their Math and English courses.  Ms. Palis is the coordinator for the homework center and will be hosting virtual tutorial sessions on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:15 - 3:15.  Students in need of assistance can join the google classroom by entering the following code: catdenf.  You can email Ms. Palis for more specific information (jpalis@wccusd.net)
