Academic Conversation of the week:  Elearning & Self Regulated Learners.   Elearning takes place through the most favorite medium of education, technology. Students are not bound by traditional classroom settings with notes and instructions in a physical environment. Students are unbound by restraints of time and place of learning.  Students have immediate 24/7 access to research, literature, and  tutorial videos. E Learning has unleashed the power of educational technology.  In order to take advantage of E Learning, each student must become self regulated learners. Self regulated learners are  focussed, motivated and active participants in their learning. Self regulated learners are also organized, disciplined and structured.

This week marks the middle of the 4th quarter.  Parents, please check PowerSchool to determine each student's quarter 4 progress. Students, it is very important that you continue to work hard throughout the remainder of the school year, so you can earn a 70% or higher in each of your courses.  All students must earn a C or higher in each of their courses. Any student who earns less than a C- minus, will need to re take that course in the summer or the following school year.

The district is developing plans for summer school, all details will need to coincide with state and county health guidelines. Information will be provided at a later date.

Seniors: You are in the final stretch, don't lose focus! Please be aware of the credits needed to earn a high school diploma, all WCCUSD requirements need to be satisfied prior to May 29th.  All senior activities are pending state and county social distancing guidelines.  https://hhs.myschoolcentral.com/

All students on Edgenuity, need to complete all the courses they are enrolled in.  If you need additional courses, you will need to request through your counselor.

9th grade : Ms. Krier’s Algebra and Geometry classes are now on Edgenuity - please check the daily assignment sheets for more information.

2020 yearbooks are on sale for $90. Please check the school website to order your yearbook today.  https://hhs.myschoolcentral.com/

If you need assistance with technology to support your student’s distance learning, you can email parent@wccusd.net or call (510) 243-3901.

Parents, please double check your contact information on PowerSchool. It is important that we have accurate phone numbers for each family. It is also beneficial if you add an email address to your account as well.

Wishing you and your family the best of health throughout these times,
