Greetings Hercules High School,

I hope this message finds you all safe, protected, nourished and sanitized. We are in the 3rd week of the 4th quarter and all students should have completed assignments in each of their assigned courses through a digital platform selected by their teacher. Please continue to visit the high school website and click on the distance learning icon for all details pertaining to distance learning bell schedule and daily assignments posted by individual teachers.  Each day’s assignments will be posted to the website by 8:30am.

Academic Conversation of the week: Academic research shows that being a self regulated learner is associated with better academic performance.  Self regulated learners are focussed, motivated and active participants in their learning. Parents, please support, assist and mentor your child so they can become self regulated learners who demonstrate repeated academic behaviors throughout each school day.  Academic success is not something they are entitled to, academic success is something  they achieve through hard work and determination.

Attendance will be taken on PowerSchool.  Please make sure that you check in with each of your teachers through google classroom, email, or attendance in live classroom sessions.

2020 yearbooks are on sale for $90. Please check the school website to order your yearbook today.

9th grade : Ms. Krier’s Algebra and Geometry classes are now on Edgenuity - please check the daily assignment sheets for more information.

Seniors: You are in the final stretch, don't lose focus! Please be aware of the credits needed to earn a high school diploma, all WCCUSD requirements need to be satisfied prior to May 25th. If you feel that you are behind credits, please reach out to your academic counselors.  All senior activities are pending state and county social distancing guidelines.

All students on Edgenuity, need to complete all the courses they are enrolled in.  If you need additional courses, you will need to request through your counselor.

If you need assistance with technology to support your student’s distance learning, you can email or call (510) 243-3901.

Parents, please double check your contact information on PowerSchool. It is important that we have accurate phone numbers for each family. It is also beneficial if you add an email address to your account as well.

Wishing you and your family the best of health throughout these times,
