Contra Costa County Health Officer Dr. Chris Farnitano and Contra Costa County Superintendent of Schools Lynn Mackey will join local pediatricians and health officials to answer questions about the COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5 -11.

Here are some resources to help find a vaccine for your child.

Vaccine dot govAt Vaccines.gov you can learn more information about vaccines for children and teens, as well as booster shots.

To find a location near you, you can use this website from Vaccines.gov, then call or visit their website to make an appointment.

 

Contra Costa Health Services  The Contra Costa Health Services has information about how you can get vaccinated through different vaccine providers, including the County run clinic at the Richmond Memorial Auditorium.  

Contra Costa Health Services is also partnering with WCCUSD to host free COVID-19 vaccine clinics at four of our elementary schools next week: Tara Hills, Nystrom and Highland (Nov. 9-10) and Dover and Ford (Nov. 12-13). These will be open to students, school families and staff. No appointment is needed. Check with the schools for clinic hours and other details.  

Kaiser PermanenteIf you have Kaiser, you can make appointments on kp.org. They are currently making appointments at their Richmond and Oakland sites.

You can also get a free vaccine for your child and family through your regular healthcare provider or local pharmacies (such as Walgreens and CVS)
