This is Principal Petrilli with a couple of announcements as we head into week 6 of quarter four.
Beginning tomorrow, May 18, undocumented families can apply for Disaster Relief Assistance for Immigrants funds that Governor Newsom has disbursed to counties. Families who are eligible can receive $500-$1000 depending on the household size. To apply, please call the hotline number: (866) 490-3899. This process is managed by Catholic Charities of the East Bay and an adult from the family must call the hotline number directly to apply for funding.
The district has made the decision that all graduation and promotion ceremonies can only be done by video. Our Helms team is meeting this week to finalize our plans for a video celebration. I will communicate as soon as we have more details.
The district is still deciding on when we can invite students to retrieve their items from lockers, return textbooks, and pick up yearbooks and promotion certificates. I will communicate as soon as we are provided more information.
Has your 7th grader chosen an elective class for next year? If not, please have them visit their PE teacher’s Google Classroom this week and submit the 8th Grade Elective Choice Sheet Google Form. It is very important that your student turn this in so they can get the elective class they want. This will let us know if they want art, band, ethnic studies, PE elective, or Spanish.
