Low Performing Student Block Grant (LPSBG)

The Low Performing Student Block Grant (LPSBG) provides funding for students who do not quailify in for any of the areas below.

  • Free and Reduced Lunch
  • Special Education
  • English Learners (ELs)
  • Homeless
  • Foster Youth

If a student does not quailify for one of the above mentioned, and scored either 1/1, 2/1, 1/2, on the SBA, then they quailify for the LPSBG funding.  These funds are specifically designed to improve the student's achievement.  The funds may be used for tutoring, intervention during the day, differentiated instructional materials, which focus on to improve student achievement.

All the funds do not have to be used the exact same way for every student.  It is up to the principal to determine what type of intervention should be used.  This is a one time only grant, but the funding may be used over a two year period starting in 2019-2020 school year.
