WCCUSD Vaccination Mandate Reminder October 15, 2021
Hello WCCUSD Community,
On Sept 30, 2021, the WCCUSD Board of Education approved a series of COVID-19 vaccine mandates for students, staff, volunteers, community partners, contractors and vendors who work on school campuses. We will be moving forward with the timeline below, while Governor Newsom’s plans come into effect in the future.
In WCCUSD, eligible students, aged 12 and above have until November 15 to get their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The second shot should be taken no later than December 15. WCCUSD students are required to be fully vaccinated by February 18.
Please note that any students ages 12 and up who participate in extracurricular activities on campus, including athletics, will need to have their first dose by October 30 and their second dose by November 30.
Students ages 12 and up who do not receive the vaccination may stay enrolled in independent study but may not attend in-person instruction.
To assist students and families in getting the COVID-19 vaccine, WCCUSD is co-hosting a number of vaccine clinics in conjunction with the Contra Costa County Health Services.
Employees are required to submit their vaccination status by today, October 15. Employees and volunteers on campus are required to be fully vaccinated by December 7.
