ParentLink Message 1.31.22

Good evening, Lincoln families. This is Mrs. Parham with a message on behalf of the Lincoln team. This message contains 4 pieces of information.

First, tomorrow is covid testing day here at Lincoln. For covid testing, we are getting so close toward reaching our goal of 100% of staff and students tested every week at Lincoln. In fact, we learned on Friday, that Lincoln has more students registered and is testing more students weekly than any other school in our district. This is fantastic! We still have 44 kids in our school that need to register for testing, though, and we hope you'll help us reach our goal. If you still need to register your child for weekly covid testing, click on the link on our Class Dojo page to complete the ONE TIME registration. If you still need help, come to Lincoln Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, anytime from 9:30 - 3 p.m. and a team member will help you.

Second, tomorrow is also Picture Day at Lincoln. Please make sure your child looks nice for Picture Day. Every student has received a Lifetouch pamphlet, for you to complete if you would like to purchase photos of your child. If you've already completed this, please have your child turn it in to their teacher tomorrow.

Third, on Wednesday, February 2nd, we will have a FREE Vaccine Clinic here at Lincoln from 12 - 3 p.m. in our Cafeteria. This clinic is open to any Lincoln student and their family members, and you can get the first or second Pfizer or Johnson and Johnson shot, as well as the booster shot. We encourage anyone 5 years or older to get vaccinated.

Last, please note that beginning tomorrow, the district will begin what is called "group tracing" for any classroom with a positive covid case. Up until now, when a classroom had a positive case, only the students and staff who sat closest to the case would have to quarantine. With group tracing, the entire room is considered exposed. If a student is exposed, but they are fully vaccinated they can stay at school and get tested on Day 5. If they are not fully vaccinated, they will be required to quarantine at home for 5 days. Then, the entire exposed class will be tested again at Lincoln on Day 5, and if they're negative a student can return.

If you have any questions or concerns about any of this, please contact us at Lincoln. Thank you and Take care.
