ParentLink Message 10.8.21

Good evening, Lincoln families. This is Mrs. Parham with a message on behalf of the Lincoln team.

This message contains 5 pieces of information.

First, as you may know, it is supposed to rain this week. In the event of rain in the morning, our Kindergarten, 4th, 5th and 6th graders should enter school through the Front door instead of the side gate. Then, they will go wait in the hallways outside of their classrooms. Our 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders should continue to enter through the BACK gate and they will wait in the Cafeteria for their teacher to pick them up. If we have rain in the afternoon, students who walk home will leave from the Front door, and students who get picked up by car will leave from the back gate by the Cafeteria. All meals will be moved indoors, to the Cafeteria.

Second, we have covid testing at Lincoln tomorrow. Our goal is 100% participation. When you register your child for covid testing, please make sure you sign the registration on the app. If you do not sign and get a confirmation, that means your registration is not yet complete and your child cannot be tested until it is.

Third, we have two surveys we need all Lincoln Parents and Guardians to complete - the Youth Truth survey and the Lunch form. Links to both surveys are on our Class Dojo School Story.

Fourth, we are looking for Parents to join our School Site Council, which meets once a month and makes key decisions on behalf of our school. If you are interested in running for SSC, please call Lincoln and ask to speak with Ms. Evelia Agredano for more information.

Last, this Wednesday, October 20th, we have our first African-American Parent Advisory Committee meeting, which will be held on zoom, from 3 - 4 p.m. We are asking all African-American parents to attend if possible. We want your feedback!

That's all I have for now. Please tell your children we love them, we care about them, and we take PRIDE in serving them every day at Lincoln. Take care.
