ParentLink Message in English (5/3/21)
Good evening, Lincoln community. This is Mrs. Parham with a message on behalf of our Lincoln team.
This message contains 3 pieces of information.
First, HAPPY Teacher Appreciation Week to ALL of our amazing Lincoln teachers! Teacher Appreciation Week is a national initiative to honor the tireless effort of teachers - and this year especially it is more important than ever to tell our Lincoln teachers how much we love and value them. Please take some time to tell your child's teacher how much they mean to you and your family. We have the best teachers in the district, and we want everyone to know!
Second, believe it or not, but now that our Spring program is in full swing, it's time to start planning for summer school. We will be holding summer school at Lincoln this summer from June 14-July 16, for 3 hours a day. Our Lincoln team is starting to plan for summer, and we will be reaching out over the next few weeks to invite students to come join us in person for summer school. Please note that, due to safety measures, we will not be able to invite all students back, but we will do our best to accommodate students who need to be here and also want to be back in person.
Last, please note that 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade English Learners are continuing with ELPAC testing this week. This week, representatives from the RAP Center will be calling families to set up appointments for the one-on-one speaking test over zoom. Parents and Guardians, please expect this phone call and be prepared to set up the appointment for your child. 3rd and 4th graders should have already tested.
5th graders are tested today and 6th graders are testing tomorrow and Wednesday.
That's all I have for now. Please tell your children that we love them, we care about them, and we are so excited to be seeing our students in person and on zoom now. Take care.
