Good evening, Lincoln families! This is Mrs. Parham with a message on behalf of the Lincoln team.
This message contains 4 pieces of information.
First, welcome back to school! Today was the first day back after 2 weeks of vacation. We hope all of our Lincoln students and families had a wonderful holiday. We are now fully back at school, and we expect to see all of our students back in their online classes at 10 a.m. sharp every day. Remember that attendance and engagement count! We look forward to starting 2021 with you in your classes.
Second, please note that while there are currently no plans for us to return to in-person learning, the district has sent out a survey for parents and guardians to complete for feedback on returning to school. We will post the link to the online survey on our Class Dojo School Story. We are asking as many parents and guardians to complete the survey as possible.
Third, next Tuesday (January 12th) is Picture Day at Lincoln! If you are interested in having your child come to Lincoln to get their professional photo taken, you can pay for these photos. We will be contacting parents and guardians with more instructions about this closer to Tuesday, but wanted to put this special day on your radar.
Last, next Friday (January 15th) we will have a special guest assembly provided for our Lincoln students, on zoom. This assembly will be put on by NED, which is a world-class performer that takes our students on an interactive educational journey filled with storytelling, illusions, yo-yo tricks and humor. NED’s message is to inspire students, promote academic achievement, and support our school goals. Following the assembly, Lincoln students will have a chance to purchase yo-yos, if they'd like.
That's all I have for now. Please tell your children that we love them, we care about them, we miss them, and we look forward to the day when we can all be together again soon. Take care.
