Parent Link Message 4.11.22
Good evening, Lincoln families. This is Mrs. Parham with a message on behalf of our Lincoln team.
This message contains 4 pieces of information.
First, a big thank you to all of our Lincoln families who had your child test for covid before returning to school today. If your child tested positive, or if they are feeling any symptoms of covid, which include headache, cough, sore throat or runny nose, please keep them home. A student must be negative for covid, and symptom free, in order to stay at school. Because tomorrow is Tuesday, we will have covid testing at Lincoln tomorrow.
Second, this week, our district is launching a strategic planning process that will lead to a powerful vision, mission and graduate profile for WCCUSD and our students. I would like to personally invite you to join and make your voice heard.
The engagement of the diverse communities in our district in this process is very critical. The meeting for the Kennedy High and El Cerrito High families (feeder schools) is this Thursday, April 14 from 5:30 - 7:30pm at El Cerrito High. Dinner and childcare will be provided, and you can RSVP on the district website.
Third, beginning this Friday, April 15th, masks will be strongly recommended, but not mandatory, for students and staff. This is a new district policy. Please note that we will continue to provide masks to students every day, and we hope you will continue to encourage your child to wear a mask, because it is one of the best ways to keep our school community safe.
Last, next Thursday, April 21st, we will have Open House from 4:30 - 6 p.m. We will provide more details to our Lincoln families about this in the coming days, but please mark your calendars for this important event!
That's all we have for now. Please have a restful evening and go lions!
