All Five WCCUSD Employee Groups Approve Voluntary Spring In-Person Intervention and Instruction Plan
All five employee groups in the West Contra Costa Unified School District overwhelmingly approved the District’s Spring In-Person Intervention and Instruction plan on Friday, April 2.
United Teachers of Richmond (UTR), Teamsters Local 856, and School Supervisors Association (SSA) approved the voluntary Memorandum of Understanding by 70 percent or more on Friday, April 2. UTR representing teachers, counselors, and other certificated positions approved the plan by 78%.
Teamsters, which represent aides, food services, maintenance and operations, and other classified positions, ratified the plan with 77% of its membership. SSA, which consists of classified district supervisor, coordinator, and other leadership roles, passed it with 91% of their members voting yes.
WCCUSD’s two other employee groups, West Contra Costa Administrative Association, and the Adult School Teachers United approved the agreement earlier in the week.
According to the MOU, employees have until April 7 to let the District know of their intent to participate in the In-person Intervention and Instruction program.
