Schools Closed for the 2019-2020 School Year

Highland

                                               Updated April 1, 2020

Dear Highland Families,

Throughout the duration of the school closure, I will be updating this website to provide the most up-to-date information possible regarding directives from the District, educational opportunities for your children, and tech support for distance learning. Please check back often; our situation continues to evolve rapidly, and "yesterday's news" may prove unreliable.

As most of you have heard by now,Governor Newson has ordered all public schools closed for the duration of the 2019-2020 academic year. Our teachers are working hard to to learn new ways of making distance learning productive and engaging. Please find your teacher's web page on this site under Academics to learn more about their distance learning platform.

All counseling services and IEP meetings scheduled during the closure are suspended until further notice.

While your child's teacher is your primary contact for all matters related to curriculum and distance learning, please feel free to contact me (dranch@wccusd.net) if you are unable to reach them or have additional questions.

Clearly, this situation is far from ideal, and we can't wait to see your chilren's faces again.  By maintaining open lines of communication and availing ourselves to the educational resources provided by the District and the County, however, I am confident that we can transition smoothly into a productive learning environment once classes resume.

Take care of yourselves and one another.
