Kennedy Eagles Make History as Inaugural Champions of WCCUSD Girls Flag Football League
This past Saturday, October 26, the Kennedy Eagles girls flag football team made history by becoming the first-ever champions of the WCCUSD Girls Flag Football League. After a long and exciting season, the Eagles faced off in the championship game against strong competitors, including Pinole Valley and El Cerrito High, showcasing their dedication, skill, and competitive spirit.
With a final score of 36-12, the Eagles' victory was a testament to the hard work and commitment of both the players and coaches throughout the season. "It was great to see the girls go undefeated and earn the title of champions," shared the coaching staff. “The leadership of our seniors set the tone early on, demonstrating what was expected and creating an environment where everyone supported each other on and off the field.”
The season was filled with numerous highlight plays, with standout player JaTasiah Cook leading the charge.
