Exciting news for high school athletes in the WCCUSD! We are thrilled to announce the launch of a new intramural flag football program designed to boost female participation in sports. This initiative supports California's commitment to expanding opportunities for women in athletics, which has led to an impressive tripling of flag football participation since last year.

This initiative not only promotes teamwork and athletic development but also serves as a vital fundraising opportunity for the program. The inaugural games of the intramural league will kick off this Saturday at Pinole Valley High, featuring four teams from six high schools. The games, each lasting 40 minutes, will be played on half of the field. Kennedy high school hosted its first practice earlier this week to gear up for the exciting weekend ahead.

All participants are volunteers, making this a community-driven effort rather than an official league. Join us in supporting our young athletes as they embark on this exciting journey in women’s flag football!
