A Glimpse at Commencement Week

In case you missed it, the Class of 2019 had more than 1,900 seniors walked across the stage during eight commencement ceremonies. Middle College kicked off graduation season with on Saturday, May 25 with 74 graduates off into the world and Hercules closed graduation season with 223 graduates walking across the stage on Saturday, June 8. In between, Adult Education, De Anza, Kennedy, Richmond, Pinole Valley, El Cerrito, and Alternative Education (Gate Way to College, Greenwood, and Vista) helped usher seniors into the world.

There were several memorable moments from Pinole Valley’s seniors bidding adieu to their temporary campus or portable valley as they called it, to De Anza sending 20 seniors to Cal to Kennedy seniors making the most of a false-alarm fire alarm with dancing and music from its band, to Richmonding end its graduation with a Banda playing in the Civic Center.
