Community Voices Needed for Local Control Accountability Plan

Community Members Sitting in LCAPs Meeting Did you know that over 70 percent of West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD) students are low income, English learners, or foster youth? Each month, the parent and student district Local Control Accountability Plan committee provides input on how to improve outcomes for these students. We’re looking for new members to join this dedicated group of students and parents.

The state of California developed a new accountability system in 2013 to measure school district success. Each year, school districts report progress in the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). The LCAP shows how targeted district funds are used to improve outcomes for all students - especially those who are low income, English learner, and foster youth.

The DLCAPS committee reviews the LCAP and advises the superintendent and the Board of Education. Members are required to attend monthly meetings. Please view the application online in English or Spanish.

Not ready to apply? Members of the public are welcome at all DLCAPS meetings.
