*WCCUSD is operating with reduced staff and managing a backlog of requests. As a result, processing times may take 6-10 weeks. We understand the importance of your transcripts and appreciate your patience during this time.

The WCCUSD School Locator is an online tool that helps families identify which school their child is zoned to attend based on their home address. By entering an address, users can find assigned elementary, middle, and high schools within the West Contra Costa Unified School District. The locator provides up-to-date boundary information and links to school contact details, making it easy for families to plan enrollment or transfers.

The West Contra Costa Unified School District's Families in Transition provides support for homeless school-age children and youth who attend WCCUSD schools. Identifying homeless children and youth is a critical step in ensuring that they receive appropriate services and support. The Families in Transition provides homeless youth with the following services:

• Transportation assistance

• Counseling

• School supplies

• Assistance to get back into school

• Referrals to community agencies

After you determine your resident school and register the student, if there is no space - work with the main office of your resident school directly to find the next available WCCUSD school that has space. They have tools and contacts and will provide you with specific instructions. 

The first step is to speak with the main office at your resident school to find a solution with the Office Manager and/or Principal. The Office Manager and Principal will help you find a resolution or help you to understand how to escalate your complaint through the proper channel.

During the hiring process, if/when you receive an offer letter, you will also receive instructions on how to get your fingerprints.
