Welcome to the After School Program
Distance Learning Plan:
Our afterschool program, the Boys and Girls Club of America, has created content for students online. Please help get the word out to students that they have resources for them. Youth also have the opportunity to participate in FREE Virtual Martial Arts classes twice a week LIVE on Zoom. Families can access this by going onto the website www.try-ata.com and filling out their information. Their team is working hard to put together packages of school supplies for families in need. If any families need supplies, they can go to https://www.bgccontracosta.org/school-supplies to submit a request. They plan to deliver school supply packages every Wednesday. Lastly, families still have the opportunity to go onto their website and participate in their Art, STEM, Reading, and Talk Show Programs. https://www.bgccontracosta.org/online-programs
Regular Learning Plan:
Our After School Program, led by the Boys and Girls Club of America, focuses on English and math proficiency for both 7th and 8th grade. The After School Program provides homework support and a supplemental curriculum to help students learn school day concepts in a fun atmosphere.
Our program provides a healthy meal to students on a daily basis. After supper, our students engage in a range of enrichment activities that focus on character and leadership, health and wellness, arts and stem, sports, along with education/career readiness.
Our goal is to provide students with a healthy environment to thrive academically, while also facilitating constructive alternatives for the students to enjoy themselves after school is over.
