AB490 (Foster / Probation) Youth Notificiation Procedures
Notification Procedures
(Inform of Right to attend School of Origin ): Contact Educational Rights Holders, and if available: Care givers, Social Worker/ Probation Officer, and Lawyer.
Contact Educational Rights Holder to consent to assessment, Participate in meeting, and sign IEP. (Social Worker/Probation officer, Lawyer, caregivers, and other service providers should also be invited to IEP meetings)
Contact Educational Rights Holder and Social Worker/ Probation Officer, Lawyer if available (caregivers and other service providers should also be invited to discipline meetings).
Educational Rights Holder must be informed, must meet legal criteria (Social Worker/ Probation Officer, care giver and other service providers should also be invited to discipline meetings).
Educational Rights Holder, Social Worker/ Probation Officer, and Lawyer must all be informed in writing.
