Family & Community Engagement
The mission of the Community Engagement Department is to eliminate the achievement gap by actively addressing and disrupting inequities. We achieve this by empowering both schools and families to collaborate as equal partners, ensuring that all schools are culturally responsive to the communities they serve.
We foster a welcoming environment where families can identify pathways for partnership, provide comprehensive programs that promote two-way communication, support ongoing at-home learning, develop parent leadership, and build strong partnerships with community stakeholders.
WCCUSD is dedicated to providing the highest quality education, offering various pathways to support thriving schools, communities, and families. Our efforts contribute to improved health, academic performance, test scores, graduation rates, and college attendance, while reducing expulsion, truancy, and dropout rates. Ultimately, we aim to produce well-rounded, engaged citizens who are equipped to meet life's challenges.
West County Full Service Community Schools is an integrated, comprehensive initiative designed to foster educational success, well-being, and self-sufficiency for students, families, and the broader community.
