Inter-District Transfers

Inter-district transfers involve students who live outside WCCUSD boundaries but wish to attend a WCCUSD school—or WCCUSD students who want to attend school in another district.
- Approval requires a release from the home district and acceptance by the receiving district.
- Factors considered include space availability, student conduct, and attendance history.
- Inter-district transfers may also be requested for childcare, employment, or specialized academic programs not offered in the home district.
- Renewals are required annually.
WCCUSD follows California Education Code and collaborates with neighboring districts to process requests fairly while managing school enrollment and maintaining program quality.
