WCCUSD is launching a new intramural flag football program to boost female participation in sports. The inaugural games kick off on Saturday, September 9, 2024, at Pinole Valley High, featuring teams from six high schools. Don’t miss this community-driven event supporting our young athletes!
Shout out to the Richmond High School girls tennis team for accomplishing the tennis trifecta for the first time ever! The lady oilers truly shined at the TCAL Championships on November 1, 2023 and took home all three championships!

Exciting News for Youth Sports! The new West County PLAYS initiative is reducing rental fees for youth programs at WCCUSD by 75%, making sports more accessible for our community.
The El Cerrito Gauchos are riding a six-game home win streak, but they face a tough challenge this Friday against the De La Salle Spartans, who are on a four-game away win streak. With both teams coming off strong performances, the scoreboard is expected to light up. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.—don’t miss it!
Richmond High Oiler Assistant Coach Marlyn Johnson chewed out his players in the locker room after Friday’s home game against Burton High. There were missed passes and stalled drives.
The Pinole Valley High Girls basketball players are all smiles this week after traveling to Alameda High School for the 22nd annual Hornet Invitational. The ladies beat Windsor High on Thursday, were given a semifinal date against California High of San Ramon and beat Cal High on Friday. Saturday night the Spartans were put up against Montgomery of Santa Rosa for the title.
The flashing lights, sirens and incessant blaring horns at an apartment complex across the street didn’t distract the Kennedy-Richmond football team Saturday night.
