Mr. Michael A. Rossi

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I moved to The East Bay when I was two years old. I grew up starting in Richmond, near Carlson, and mostly in Montalvin Manor of unincorporated San Pablo. I attented WCCUSD schools from Preschool to graduation: Roots and Wings Monissori Preschool, Seaview Elementary, Juan Crespi Junior High, Middle College High School. I transfered from Contra Costa Collge to UC Berkely as a math major, but I ended up finishing at San Francisco State University to get my BA in mathematics. I continued at SF State to get my single subject teaching credential for Math, doing some student teaching at Berkeley High and Middle College High School (WCCUSD). I signed up with WCCUSD to teach full time at Middle College High School for a year on a temporary position, and then I began teaching Algebra and Geometry at Pinole Valley High School.

This is my eleventh year teaching math at Pinole Valley High School, and I now teach Algebra2Trig and Pre-Calculus. This is my third year as Chairman of the math department, and I also sponsor our politics club, JSA (Junior State of America). I am treasurer for the union, and I live in San Pablo, with my wife, dog, and two cats. I immediate family members who are still students in the district.
